    About Wisconsin Electronic Payments

    What is Wisconsin Electronic Payments?

Wisconsin Electronic Payments is a local merchant services company in Delafield, Wisconsin, run by Andy Portale. We set up and support credit card processing, POS systems, ACH, and online payments for Wisconsin businesses as an alternative to bank-run processing. We serve 500+ active merchants and bring 30+ years of payments experience.

Where is Wisconsin Electronic Payments located?

Our office is at 2301 Sun Valley Dr. Suite 102, Delafield, WI 53018, in Lake Country. We work with businesses across Wisconsin, including Watertown, Waukesha, Milwaukee, Madison, Oconomowoc, and Pewaukee.

How do I reach a real person?

Call or text Andy directly at (262) 370-8560. We reply within the hour, and you talk to the same local person who set up your account instead of a national call center.

    Pricing and Fees

How much does credit card processing cost in Wisconsin?

Cost depends on your card mix, average ticket, and monthly volume, so an honest quote starts with your current statement. Send us your last processing statement and we will show you, line by line, what you pay today and what you would pay with us. The review is free.

    What is interchange-plus pricing?

Interchange-plus passes through the card brands' wholesale cost (interchange) and adds one fixed, visible markup. You can see exactly what the card networks charge and what the processor earns, which makes it the most transparent way to compare processors.

What is a cash discount program?

A cash discount program shows a card price and a lower cash price, so customers who pay with cash receive a discount and the business recovers most of its card costs. It requires proper signage and receipt disclosures, which we set up on your equipment.

Can I add a surcharge for credit cards?

Card brand rules allow surcharging on credit cards with advance registration, clear signage, and receipt disclosure, and the fee is capped (currently 3% under Visa's rules). Surcharges cannot be applied to debit or prepaid cards. We help you decide whether surcharging, a cash discount, or standard pricing fits your customers.

    Switching Processors

Why switch from my bank's payment processing?

Banks usually resell processing through a national partner, so pricing is often bundled and support is hard to reach. Working with us means a local contact, a clear statement, and a free comparison against what your bank charges today.

Is there a rebate for switching?

Businesses that process more than $20,000 per month and switch from bank-based processing can qualify for a $1,000 switch rebate. The rebate is issued 90 days after your fourth processing statement with us.

    Equipment and Payment Options

Which POS systems do you offer?

We offer Clover and the SUNMI P3 MIX tablet POS with Stackably software, plus countertop terminals, mobile readers, and self-serve kiosks. We recommend equipment based on how you actually take payments, not on what pays us the most.

Can I accept online payments and invoices?

Yes. We set up online payment gateways for websites and invoicing, along with ACH and eCheck payments for recurring billing and larger B2B transactions.

What is Level 2 and Level 3 processing?

Level 2 and Level 3 processing sends extra invoice details with business and government card payments. Card brands reward that extra data with lower interchange rates, which can noticeably reduce costs for B2B sellers.

    Industries We Serve

Do you work with restaurants and bars?

Yes. Restaurants and bars are a large part of our local customer base. We set up POS, tipping, and tableside or counter payments, and we review your statement to find avoidable fees.

Do you work with medical, dental, and veterinary practices?

Yes. We support healthcare, dental, and veterinary offices with in-office terminals, online bill pay, and payment plans, with attention to patient privacy.

Do you work with nonprofits and clubs?

Yes. We help nonprofits, chambers, and service clubs accept donations, dues, and event payments in person and online.

    Getting Started

    How do I get started?

Call or text (262) 370-8560, or send a photo of your latest processing statement. Andy reviews it, explains what you pay today, and recommends a setup. If you decide to move forward, we handle the application and equipment programming.

What do I need for a free statement review?

Just one recent monthly statement from your current processor or bank. A photo or PDF is fine. We never need your customers' card data.
